Environmental claims
Plant-based, biodegradable and compostable are not interchangeable.
Plant-based describes the origin of some or all feedstock. Biodegradable and compostable describe end-of-life behaviour under defined conditions. A buyer should not infer one claim from another.
For every environmental claim, ask for:
- The exact model and material composition covered by the claim.
- The applicable standard, certification body and current certificate where relevant.
- Whether the claim applies to industrial composting, home composting or another defined environment.
- Destination-market labeling and waste collection requirements.
- Any limitations created by inks, coatings, liners, lids, labels or food contamination.
Not every LT Biopackaging product is compostable or biodegradable. Confirm material, performance, certification, case packing and end-of-life claims for the exact model and target market.

Not automatically. Plant-based describes feedstock, while compostability is a performance claim that should be verified for the exact product, applicable standard, certification and disposal conditions.
Is every product in the catalog biodegradable?
No. The catalog includes biodegradable, paper and plastic food packaging. Environmental claims must be confirmed for the exact model and destination market.
What information should I provide before requesting samples?
